               There is still one injection available to fight against Corona whose name is Remdesivir. Another vaccine has come in the market for treatment of corona virus. Cipla, the country’s leading pharma company, has launched the generic version of the anti-viral drug Remdesivir in India. Its price has been kept at RS 4,000 per 100mg vile, which is much less than the rest of the world. Due to the law price, there will be no problem in getting treatment to the patients. In the first month, the company is going to supply 80,000 wiles. Nikhil Chopra, Executive Vice President and CEO of the company, has given this information by issuing a statement. 

              Corona virus infection is spreading very fast in the country. Increasing corona patients have not only resulted in a shortage of beds in hospitals, but also increased the shortage of the remedies used in its treatment and anti-viral injections. In view of the lack of it in the domestic market, the Central Government had banned the export and directed to increase the production, supply and prices of the Remedesiver drug. 

Remedecivir is an anti-viral drug. It was developed for the treatment of hepatitis C. However, it was later used in treatment of Ebola Virus. The initial drugs used to treat the corona virus also included Remadecivir. Because of which this drug has been in the media headlines. However, on 20 November, 2020 the World Health Organization said that doctors should avoid the use of remedecivir in the treatment of corona patients.

              in India, many companies are manufacturing Remadecivir drug as an injection. These include Dr Reddy's Lab, Zydus Cadila, Cipla and Hetero Labs. Apart from these, Jubilant Life Science Jubilant Lifesciences and Mylan Mylan are also trying to make it here.
